Thanks for choosing Big League Turf. Your turf is built for a beautiful, low-maintenance yard. A few easy habits will keep it looking and performing great.
General Turf Care
Regular Cleaning
- Clear leaves, sticks, and debris often with a leaf blower, plastic rake, or soft broom.
- Rinse the turf with water now and then to wash off dust and pollen.
Brushing the Turf
- Brush high-traffic spots from time to time with a stiff broom or power broom.
- Brush against the grain of the fibers for the best look.
Preventing Damage
- Keep vehicles and heavy equipment off the turf.
- Keep open flames, hot coals, and fire pits away from the surface.
- Avoid sharp objects and harsh chemicals that can hurt the backing or fibers.
- Reflective glare from windows can create extra heat and damage the fibers.
Pet Maintenance & Odor Control
- Pick up solid waste right away.
- Rinse urine areas lightly every 2 to 4 weeks to cut down on odor.
- Use a turf-safe enzyme cleaner when you need extra odor control.
- Skip bleach and harsh household cleaners.
Weed Prevention
- We install a weed barrier under your turf, but a few weeds can still show up along edges or seams.
- Pull weeds by hand when you see them.
- Avoid metal tools that can damage the turf.
Heavy Furniture & Traffic
- Move patio furniture now and then to prevent matting.
- Put protective pads under sharp furniture legs.
- High-traffic areas may need a brush now and then to keep the blades standing.
Hot Weather Care
- Turf can get warm on very hot days.
- Rinse it lightly with water before use to cool the surface.
Warranty Reminder
- Proper care is required to keep your warranty valid.
